  • In case of teams being on equal number of points and Goal Difference (GD) cannot give us a clear winner then:
    (a) Goals scored will be seen.
    (b) If goals scored is also same, goals conceded will be seen.
    (c) If goals conceeded is also same then a penalty shootout (sudden death) will decide the winner.

  • If a clear winner cannot be determined even after 5 penalty kicks, then sudden death penalty kicks will take place
  • Both teams will have equal number of penalty takers
  • If everyone has taken a penalty kick and there is still no clear winner then the penalty takers will be repeated in the order which they took the first set of penalty kicks
  • 3 steps distance is allowed to take a penalty kick in a regular game or penalty shootout
